Distance from Dubai : 130km around 1.5 hours

Take Emirates Road 311 and enjoy the beautiful drive through the mountain range on your way to Fujairah.

Fujairah has some of the most beautiful beaches in the U.A.E and is one of the quicker road trips from Dubai.

Hire a canoe from Sandy beach resort next to the public beach and paddle down to see the amazing rock formation that is Snoopy island. Aptly named since it looks like Snoopy lying on the top of his dog house, this tiny island is great for snorkeling and scuba diving. If you are lucky you might just see a giant sea turtle or reef shark.

Fujairah also has a huge range of resorts to spend the night or grab a meal. It is truly a great road trip destination.
We advise you to take something a bit more sporty to enjoy those long winding mountain roads: https://ejarcar.com/rent/uae/dubai/super-sports-models

Hatta Mountains

Enjoy an offload adventure and swim in the Hatta pools

Distance from Dubai : Around 130KM or 2 hours

Take the E44 towards Hatta where you must visit the Hatta Fort hotel for a quick bite or even to stay the night. The resort has some nice activities including skeet shooting and archery and is a nice pit stop on your way to the Hatta pools.

You can then drive through Hatta village to find the Heritage Village. Continue around the back of the village and turn right to Al Fay. Make sure to carry your passport as you will be nearing the Oman border (though you will not cross it). There are a bunch of check points on the way, so it’s better to have your passport, just in case. Turn right onto the dirt road and continue for about 10km to reach Hatta Pools.

Hatta is also a great spot for camping and sleeping under the stars and is probably the most adventurous road trips you can take from Dubai.

We would highly recommend taking a 4×4 SUV from the trip since the roads can be pretty rocky up in the mountains: https://ejarcar.com/rent/uae/dubai/suv-models
